Five nabbed on their way to commit armed robbery
Tip off led to the arrest of five men in KwaDukuza this morning.

Five men, ages between 22 and 26, were caught on their way to commit an robbery at a nearby store in KwaDukuza (Stanger) this morning.
This came after KwaDukuza Cluster Task Team together with National Intervention Unit acted on a tip off that these men were about to commit a crime.
They were caught at one of the petrol stations in KwaDukuza. The police found a Z88 pistol with six live rounds of ammunition, a toy replica pistol, dagger and pepper spray in their car.
The police believe that these men may be connected to other armed robberies in the KwaDukuza and surrounding areas and further investigations are continuing.
They will appear at the KwaDukuza Magistrates Court on Monday, October 14. They will be charged for being in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition as well as attempted armed robbery.
The Provincial Commissioner for KwaZulu-Natal, Lieutenant General Mmamonnye Ngobeni commended the police officers for the swift arrests.
“Had police not arrested these men they would have continued their reign of terror in the KwaDukuza and surrounding area,” she said.
