A big four for the market
The Farmer's Market at the Litchi Orchard turned four in sweet style!
The Farmers Market at The Litchi Orchard celebrated their four year anniversary with music, laughter and a beautiful big three tier cake on Saturday.
Even the sun came to the party as it brightly shone on the stalls and warmed the atmosphere as locals shoppers perused clothes, books and art.
When the clock hit 11, musician Mazoji sang happy birthday to the market as founders, Jeremy, Bronywn and Paul Eb cut the cake. They were joined by the market’s manager Kerry Hedges.
The Eb family started the Farmers Market in 2009 and Jeremy said they have received tremendous support from both traders and consumers.
“Some traders have never missed the market since is started and we are happy to celebrate four years with them and hope they are carry on working with us into the future,” said Jeremy.
He said the market was always keen on working with new traders because that gave shoppers more variety and kept them coming back.
Copy Inc’s Sylvia Mackay said she had supported the market since 2009.
“The mood around the market has always been pleasant and the stalls have gotten better over the years. My heartfelt congratulations to the Eb family and we wish them many more,” said Mackay.
New-comers to the market, Raymond Barske of Odyssey Craft Brewery said he joined the market in April and he loved every one.
“The organisers and fellow traders are nice people so as long as they have the market, I am going to keep coming,” he concluded.
