Hospital gives seniors a boost

Victoria Hospital commemorated Trauma Day on Friday with senior citizens from various clubs in and around Tongaat.
The senior citizens were taught about diabetes and how to look after themselves, to visit their doctors regularly and routinely check their blood glucose levels.
Podiatrist Dinesh Deonarain explained the importance of foot care for diabetics and Mayan Ramdeen from Smith and Nephew taught diabetics how to treat their wounds.
Those who attended were treated to lunch and a goodie bag.
Victoria Hospital emergency unit head Dr Sanesha Moodley thanked all those who had made the event a success.
