The following crimes were attended by Umhlali SAPS this weekend:
* Three people were arrested on Friday after they were found in possession of copper cables valued R10 000 at Shakashead.
* A family were held up at gun point in Tete Velani township on Saturday morning, items valued R1600 were taken.
* A Shakashead resident’s garage door was forced opened and items valued R4900 were stolen.
* On Saturday afternoon a Shakas Rock resident found the locks and sliding door of his house open and items valued R42900 were stolen.
* A VW Golf registration number NT 37908 was stolen at Shakas Rock, Rock Lane car park while the owner was fishing.
The Umhlali SAPS urged resident and holiday makers not to leave valuable items on their cars when they are going out to beaches.
