Is it a bird, a plane…beauty queens?

Two of Ballito’s most beautiful blondes are taking charity to new heights.

Reigning Miss Ballito Shelley Buckle is aiming high with her friend, Miss Ballito 2012 and reigning Miss KZN Renalda Hoffmann.

The two beauty queens plan to raise funds by sky diving in their crowns, sashes and stilettos.

“We are hoping to raise money for one of Rotary’s chosen beneficiaries, SummerHill house,” said Shelley.

They also hope to help disadvantaged deaf aspiring rugby players, to help them fulfil their dream of forming a South African DeafBoks rugby team.

“Once we have reached a set goal, Renalda and I will take to the skies. We want this to be a portrayal of women power, in the theme of Women’s month!”

Shelley and Renalda are hoping to raise at least R10 000 for charity and jump next month, in honour of Deaf Awareness month in September.

“If we raise enough, we might even jump in our bikinis,” promised Shelley.
