‘Locals Only’ surfing premiers tonight

Don't miss out Bru.

‘Locals Only’, a surfing movie featuring, you guessed it, local Dolphin Coast surfers ripping up the waves, will be screened for the first time tonight in Salt Rock.

The brainchild of local surfer Deon Knoetze, the movie includes footage of Al and Brad Johns, Sean von Oettingen, the Sykes Brothers, Ryan Balfour and Robin Lavery.

“My idea was to film local guys on the North Coast and use it to raise some funds for the local junior surfers,” said Knoetze.

Knoetze thanked Timothy Hay from Hellmot Productions and Michel Adjes  from Rodent Productions for coming on board to produce this project.

The movie is about an hour long and features more than 40 locals at surf spots from Tinley Manor to Salmon Bay.

The movie screening is tonight at LINC campus in Foxhill at 6pm.

Craft beer and burgers will be sold after the movie at Wonderland Cafe.

Tickets are being sold at the door. R30 for adults and children enter free.
