Utility vehicle carrying people loses control.

Three people were killed and 19 injured in a horrific accident on the R74 near Glendale this afternoon.

IPSS Medical Rescue paramedic Paul Herbst said it appeared that a utility vehicle had lost control on the gravel road and hit a tree.

“All the passengers who had been traveling in the back were ejected from the vehicle during the accident,” said Herbst.

Of the 19 passengers, one was critically injured, 14 received moderate injuries and four had minor injuries.

Paramedics are still at the scene of the accident assisting the injured.
