Ice bucket for Ashton

Ashton International College Ballito takes up the ice bucket challenge.

Ashton International College Ballito took up the ice bucket challenge on Monday September 1. Pupils had the rare opportunity to witness the executive management CEO André Buys, junior college head, Flick Holmes and executive head, Joe Erasmus taking the icy dunk for charity. The ice bucket challenge was created to promote awareness of the disease Amyotropic Lateral Sclerosis and is also sometimes known as the ALS ice bucket challenge. Donations to research are encouraged and the school raised R1800 for the cause. They are aiming to raise R5000 by Friday. The Ballito campus challenged and gave the Benoni campus 24 hours to respond.
