Raising the roof

The Rotary Club of Ballito organised the Choir Festival at Umhlali Preparatory.

The hall was alive with the sound of beautiful music last Friday at the Choir Festival at Umhlali Preparatory hosted by The Rotary Club of Ballito.

Guests were treated to the upbeat sounds of the Umhlali marimba band outside the hall as they arrived. The opening act of the musical night were the talented musicians of the KwaZulu Natal Youth Wind Band conducted by Kim Gregg. Choirs from nine different schools across the North Coast performed two songs each as well as in two mass choirs.

Snacks, drinks and tasty cupcakes were on offer as well as raffle prizes up for grabs for guests which were kindly donated by numerous local businesses.

BP Ballito and Toyota McCarthy Motors Ballito sponsored taxis to take children home.
