Ballito’s new gym is ready to get active

One week to go!

Ballito’s new Virgin Active is perfectly on schedule for its opening this month.

Construction began almost exactly a year ago (‘New precinct to create 1 000 jobs’, Courier, September 6).

Owner Bruce Rencken took the Courier on a guided tour last week, showing off the gym’s gleaming interior two weeks before opening day.

The 3000m2 double-storey boasts a cardio section, functional area, studio for aerobics classes, mind and body studio and a kids club.

The Ballito branch will be the first to offer the active grid programme, an initiative by Virgin Active that uses six primal movements during the work out.

Stunning views of the Ballito hills and bustling interchange complete the workout experience. Kauai is on site for healthy meals.

Renken also confirmed that McDonald’s would still be opening opposite the gym.

A date for construction has not yet been set.
