Dolphin Coast squash makes history
Taking home the prize at the South African Masters Championships.
The Dolphin Coast ladies and men’s squash teams made history at the South African Masters Championships when both teams took gold in their respective divisions.
This is the Dolphin Coast Ladies’ maiden overall victory at the South African Masters Championships and team morale is high following this great achievement. The tournament was held in Durban from September 5 to 9 and with more than 600 squash players giving it their all, the competition was fierce.
“With both teams it came down to the final day of play to decide the winners,” said Bev Livingstone.
Livingstone said the men did particularly well with only four team members instead of five.
“For the ladies, Michelle ‘Plonker’ Heenen and Leigh ‘Terminator’ Aylward were in devastating form, losing only one game between the two of them,” said Livingstone.
