Four schools on the North Coast have received sponsored science labs to assist them with this vital, but often ill equipped teaching area.
King Shaka International Airport (KSIA) and Lesec SA Edutrade Division have cooperated in supplying Victoria, Verulam, Mbonisweni and Dianthus primary schools with science resources.
The schools received an Edutrade CAPS (Curriculum and Policy Assessment Statement) compliant kit, which is designed for the latest curriculum applied at school level for Grade four to seven Natural Sciences and Technology Kit.
Edutrade trained the teachers of these schools on how to use the kits and much enthusiasm and confidence was shown in this workshop by the teachers.
Edutrade, the educational division of Lasec SA has for years partnered with the education department to supply schools with quality educational products, which fulfill the requirements of the curriculum.
KSIA spokesperson Colin Naidoo said they are proud to be associated with Edutrade.
“These four science labs will go a long way to assist the teachers and pupils to improve their communities through learning in a more organised manner,” said Naidoo.
