If this sounds like your can of paint, you need to make your way to the 12th annual Durban Homemakers Expo, taking place from October 3 to October 5 at the Durban Exhibition Centre.
The expo will present a diverse, local and national exhibitor line up on 220 stands, offering ideas and solutions to beautify and improve your home.
The ever popular “What’s it Worth” Antique Roadshow will be back where visitors can bring their forgotten antiques and heirlooms to be valued and appraised free of charge by our trusted hosts, Thunder Auctioneers. Who knows what is in that old suitcase in the attic?
SCASA Barista Championships @ Coffee Lovers Theatre presents KZN’s best baristas and coffee experts. They will entertain, inform and inspire visitors with their impressive performances and knowledgeable insights into coffee preparation and serving.
See five local schools compete in the “My Durban” School Mural competition. Five fun and colourful interpretations of what Durban is all about! A must-see project sponsored by Shave Paint and Decor.
Food lovers will not be disappointed as a range of deli goodies will be available to taste and enjoy at the expo. A new addition this year is the Flavours of the World Demo Kitchen, where local chefs will do live demonstrations.
For the second year running, support the CSI stand, A Brick in the Wall, to help the local St. Monica’s Children Home – an initiative supported by Meals on Wheels. Buy your sticker for R20 from Meals on Wheels and paste it on the Care Centre wall. A Brick in the Wall is sponsored by Oasys Innovations.
The expo will be open from 10am to 9pm on Friday and Saturday, and 10am to 6pm on Sunday.
Entrance is R50 for adults, R25 for pensioners and children under 12, free.
