Ballito Rotary lends helping hand to Sizani Combined
It was a very special and exciting day for Sizani Combined Primary last week Friday when the Ballito Rotary Club visited to hand over a generous cheque for R15 786, 67 to go towards the much needed renovations to their leaking and dilapidated roof.
Sizani Combined Primary has a long list of things that need fixing and replacing but the roof was their top priority and with Ballito Rotary’s help they can finally tick it off their list. The money will be going toward paying for new roof sheets to be fitted. Many sponsors are working together to help upgrade the school and make it a much better place for its pupils.
Last month the Ballito Rotary Club hosted their annual fundraising Choir Festival at Umhlali Preparatory where they managed to raise an amount of R27 500.
The total amount raised came from ticket sales for the festival as well as raffle ticket sales. The event was extremely well supported resulting in the hall being filled to the brim.
The money has been divided between Sizani Combined Primary and the Westbrook Home for the Aged for new paving.
