Soup, glorious soup!

Crawford trumps its 2013 record.

The Crawford North Coast Community Service Club has trumped its 2013 Soupy Soupy project.

They doubled the amount made last year and plan to distribute 117 litres of soup to orphans and the elderly within the community.

Spar donated vegetables, cooking oil and stock cubes, while the school’s own Café Flava played a pivotal role by allowing pupils to cook and store the soup at their premises.

In a statement the club said it is grateful, but not nearly as grateful as the children and elderly who will be receiving the soup. It is small things like this that go a long way in enriching the lives of the less fortunate with luxuries that we sometimes seem to take for granted.”
