A Mandeni kick boxer has been invited to fight in the United Kingdom.
Ntokozo Mgwaba (34) has been invited by the Lincoln Fight Factory to compete in December in the third World Kick Tournament for the welter weight world title.
The 1998 IKF and WAKO SA champion says he is aiming for a win and is confident in his ability to achieve it.
In 2012 he also had an opportunity to fight in Australia for an intercontinental full contact kickboxing title. However his late visa application let him down.
The kick boxer hopes to move to America next year to further his sporting career.
Mgwaba is the CEO of Triple M Gym in Mandeni, where he trains residents in cardio kick boxing.
“I am working hard at the gym so that I will be fit for the fight,” said Mgwaba.
He will be leaving on December 15 with the tournament starting on December 20.
Although Mgwaba is excited about the trip, he needs a sponsor for transport and accommodation as his income from the gym is limited.
The cost of his return ticket is R18000. If any one is willing to help this athlete please call him on 061 122 9295.
