Swift arrest for murder suspects
Umhlali SAPS arrested two murder suspects within three days of the offense.
Umhlali SAPS showed how it is done when they arrested two murder suspects only three days after the offence was committed.
A 26 year-old male was fatally stabbed near Miriam’s tavern in Shakashead on Saturday night October 4.
A brawl between the victim and the two suspects got out of hand and claimed the young man’s life. The victim was stabbed with a sharp object in the right chest and below his right arm.
Umhlali SAPS officers found the deceased lying on the ground in a pool of blood.
An informant told detectives where the suspects were headed and they were apprehended in Empangeni where they opened a counter charge against the victim.
The suspects will make their fist appearance in the Umhlali Periodical Court today where they will apply for bail.
“The Umhlali task team and detective officers are really sharp. They know what they are doing,” said detective unit commander colonel Jackie Papayya.
