It has been quite a nasty day on the North Coast, with three accidents claiming one life and injuring three people.
Two people were seriously injured when two cars and a motorcycle collided on the R102 outside the Tongaat SAPS this morning.
Traffic was affected as paramedics and breakdown services tried to move the cars and scattered debris.
The two injured patients were treated and taken to hospital.
A 27-year-old man died after he was hit by a train between in Thembeni, between Groutville and Charlottedale this afternoon.
The man’s injuries were severe and paramedics declared him dead.
Earlier today a woman was injured after her car overturned on the N2 between Salt Rock and Umhlali.
Netcare911 paramedics found the injured woman had already gotten out of the car, which came to a stop on its roof in the middle of the road.
She was treated and taken to hospital on a trauma board.
