Four injured in truck accident at Mvoti

Highway closed for two and a half hours.

The N2 northbound was closed for two and a half hours last night after a truck rear-ended another truck near the Mvoti toll.

IPSS Medical Rescue’s Paul Herbst said that at about 9 pm a coal truck and a furniture removal truck collided, the coal truck hitting the back right side of the another truck and oil spilled across the road.

“The driver of the back truck was critically injured and his passenger was also seriously injured. The driver and passenger of the other truck were also taken to hospital with minor injuries,”said Herbst.
