Hazelmere still dropping

Water levels are getting dangerously close to the critical 40% level.

Hazelmere dam has dropped to 45 percent and getting dangerously close to the critical 40 percent level.

Stage two water restrictions still apply and Sembcorp has urgently requested the public to reduce water consumption in order to preserve what little water is left for as long as possible.

If Hazelere dam reaches 40 percent and the iLembe district is placed under level three water restrictions,  water will only be available from 5am to 9am and 5pm to 9pm while all stage two restrictions are still applicable.

The Courier will keep you updated as informaton becomes available.
