Wrap a gift for the Orphan Fund

Make someone's Christmas extra special!

Christmas is a time for giving and it is an extra special blessing to be able to share with the poor and those less fortunate.

Everyone wil remember that one toy that made them feel like the most special little boy or girl on the planet, and now you can make someone else experience that joy.

The North Coast public is a particularly generous community and the North Coast Courier Orphan Fund is once again prevailing on this generosity to collect Christmas treats for orphans and vulnerable children.

The various organisations that take care of orphans in the community traditionally hold their Christmas parties in late November, early December.

The subsistence feeding that happens in these centres uses up all the available resources.

These eagerly awaited fun Christmas party events are a luxury extra expense but they do bring a bit of light and laughter into what are often drab and sad young lives.

To help relieve the pressure on these organisations, we are appealing to the public to contribute

a) Christmas gifts in the form of toys, personal hygiene products or stationery.

b) Boxes of biscuits.

c) Christmas non perishable food hamper items. – eg. Sweets, Oros, tinned fruit

d) Gently used second hand toys.

The Orphan Fund is placing branded Christmas Collection boxes at supermarkets, churches and schools for the next few weeks, finishing in the first week of December.

If the gifts given are wrapped, the Fund is asking that you write the age and gender on the parcel, to facilitate the giving.
