Umhlali SAPS attended the following crimes last weekend:
· On Friday morning a man woke up to find a kitchen window forced opened at his holiday home on Compensation Beach Road in Ballito.
· A Shakashead resident was stabbed in his chest, allegedly by his girlfriend on Saturday. He was transported to Stanger Hospital.
· On Saturday a man sustained injuries to his face after he was assaulted with a beer bottle outside a tavern in Nkobongo .
· A man was stabbed outside a restaurant in Shakaskraal on Saturday. He was taken to Stanger Hospital.
· A family was held at gunpoint on Sunday night in their home in Waterfall area, upper Tongaat. The two robbers took R3300.
· A businessman found the back door of his store forced open in Shakaskraal on Sunday morning. Items valued at R5100 were stolen.
Due to renovations they are temporarily relocating the charge office and as a result only one phone line is working. Residents and holidaymakers are urged not to leave valuable items in their cars when they are going to the beach. Contact Umhlali SAPS on 032-9479900.
