The painting of the Willard Beach lifeguard tower and ablution building has received the green light.
The toilet doors have also been unlocked and water to the wash basins restored.
A week ago the Courier reported on the embarrassing state of the facilities: the building was in dire need of a new coat of paint, there was only one female toilet in use and the wash basin taps were dry.
Beach goers were unimpressed and some said they would rather use the sea than the toilets.
CPC painting’s Piet Fivaz said he saw Sembcorp fixing the toilet situation on Thursday, a day after the article appeared in the Courier and they also received the go-ahead for the paint job.
