Hazelmere dam has dropped to a critical 40 percent level and stage four time of use water restrictions were implemented on Friday December 5.
Sembcorp Siza Water said there will be no water daily between 9pm and 5am the next morning.
Water pressure may be lower and additional water cuts during the day without prior notice may be experienced as Sembcorp tries to make the water that is left in the Hazelmere dam last longer.
Recycled water is available at Sembcorp’s waste water treatment works and can be used to top up pools, water gardens and wash cars but not to drink or cook with.
Customers around Sembcorp’s concession area can have up to 5 000 litres of recycled water delivered at a cost of R850 excluding VAT.
Specific details of current water restrictions are available on page 10 in the Sembcorp Siza Water restrictions update notice.
