This morning Eskom tweeted that they lost four power generating units, increasing the risk of load shedding.
Only yesterday the national power utility, announced that although the power system is stable, the risk of load shedding was low for the week and the rest of the festive season.
They warned however that due to the underlying shortage of generating capacity, the power system remained vulnerable.
“Any extra load or faults in the system may necessitate the need to implement load shedding.”
