Finally the Umhlali SAPS station renovation has been completed, the make-over project having been undertaken by Brettenwood Coastal Estate.
The station now has a new suspended ceiling, aluminium windows, re- plastered and painted walls, new cubicles, fans, down lights and air conditioning, power skirting, new furniture and notice boards and the layout of the station has also been redesigned to make it more user friendly.
”We are thrilled that our suppliers came on board and together with our construction company, Bateleur Construction, completed this community project. A huge thank you to all who helped achieve it, I hope the community’s experience at the new Umhlali community service centre is a much improved one,” said Adam Watson, Director of the Hulett Development Company, which owns Brettenwood Coastal Estate.
Umhlali SAPS acting station commander lieutenant colonel Dieter Fittkau said that he is grateful for the improvements done to the community service centre by all the role-players, especially the Hulett Development Company and Brettenwood Coastal Estate.
“I am happy that it is now done. I would also like to thank the community for their patience during the renovations as well as the members of SAPS Umhlali who have had to endure less than ideal working conditions during this time,” said Fittkau.
He then challenged the business community as a whole to become involved in future improvements at the station.
“I have seven offices that needs ‘adopting’,” he said.
Brettenwood Coastal Estate thanked all the suppliers for their contribution towards the community project. To become a part of the greater Umhlali Police upgrade please contact Lieutenant Colonel Dieter Fittkau on 082 469 5720.
