Urologist Dr Enesh Padayachee has recently joined the team at Alberlito hospital.
Urology is the medical and surgical specialty that focuses on the urinary tracts of males and females and on the reproductive system of males.
Dr Padayachee is originally from Pietermaritzburg, he and his wife Priantha moved to the Dolphin Coast to be closer to her family home, Stanger. Birds of a feather, Priantha is also a doctor and runs a practice in Shakaskraal. The two met in medical school in Cape Town and now have a baby girl of 20 months, Taynera.
The doctor said his chosen medical path is very rewarding.
“It is incredibly satisfying to be able help people so successfully, to see results and quickly.
“Many times my patients have felt embarrassed to seek medical attention but the procedures are often so much less invasive than they imagined.”
Dr Padayachee said the field is constantly evolving.
“Urology is much less invasive than it used to be, and surgery is often a last resort. Today we are able to use endoscopic technology with great success.”
The doctor is thrilled to have moved to the coast and said he looks forward to getting to know his new patients.
