Stanger couple robbed and husband killed

Money and cellphones stolen from the house.

An Intshawini resident was shot dead and his wife injured on Sunday midnight, when a group of four armed men entered their house in the Ezihlabathini area outside Stanger.

Money and cell phones were taken from the house.

That day KwaDukuza SAPS arrested four men between the ages of 28 and 32 and charged them with for murder, house robbery and attempted murder.

“They were found in possession of two fire arms with eight rounds and they will appear in KwaDukuza Magistrates Court today (Wednesday),” said KwaDukuza SAPS communications officer warrant officer Johannes Khoza.

The woman is reported to be in a stable condition in hospital.

The police urge residents to report suspicious activity, and work with them to arrest criminals.
