January is around the corner, which means saving for back to school shopping, which is a costly exercise.
Many parents cannot afford buying a new uniform for their child every year, so Deseree Naidoo is trying to provide an alternative.
“I am urging parents to take part in this school uniform drive for pupils attending Glenhills Primary School, as there are many children who are in need of uniforms,” she said.
According to Deseree, current registration is 1200 pupils.
“If you have school uniforms that your child will no longer be using and still in good condition, please can I ask that you donate these to the school.”
The following items are required: white school dresses, pants and shirts, grey pants, black jerseys, black track suits, white t-shirts, white or black PE shorts, black belts, black school shoes (boys and girls), grey or black socks for boys, white socks for girls, unisex raincoats and school bags in good condition.
These items can be dropped off at Glasfit in Ballito between 8am and 4pm at 15 Platinium Park, Douglas Crowe Drive or alternatively contact Deseree on 082 072 8309.
