Major accident leave four critical

One patient airlifted to hospital.

Four people were left in a critical condition after they lost control of their vehicle and hit a tree on the R614 near Isnembe, north from Tongaat early this morning.

IPSS Medical Rescue and the KwaDukuza Fire Department responded.

Paul Herbst from IPSS Medical Rescue said the KwaDukuza Fire Department had to use the jaws of life to get the one patient out of the vehicle.

” We called in the services of Air Mercy to airlift the one patient to hospital,” said Herbst.

IPSS Medical Rescue transported the other three patients to hospital.

” It seems like the driver lost control of the vehicle and smashed into a tree on the side of the road,” he said.
