Mothers welcome their new born on the first day of the new year.
New years day not only marks the beginning of a new year, but often also the beginning of a new life.
KwaZulu-Natal was blessed with approximately 34 New Years babies, one of them being baby Vadivellu, who was born at 11.29 am at Victoria Hospital, Tongaat.
Although she was only planned for January 2, the little girl could not wait that long and so joined the world weighing a healthy 3,08 kgs.
“I am very happy to have her one day earlier,” said the tired, but happy mother, Melissa Vadivellu.
Little brother, Saireson and his dad, Scotty were very excited to welcome a girl into their family and could not wait to hold her for the first time.
