Jungle gym for Christmas
Company collects money to buy new play equipment for Summer Hill House.
Summer Hill House children in Etete were thrilled with their new jungle gym, thanks to Italian power generation plant company, Ansaldo Energia.
“I sent an email to all our employees and asked them to donate some money towards the jungle gym,” said employee, Paula Brignole.
They managed to raise R12 000, which Summer Hill House used to buy the beautiful play area.
Some of the Ansaldo Energia staff came to play with the children on December 18 and were very happy to see the joy the jungle gym had brought them.
Avon Peaking Power added to the joy, by donating a R5000 cheque to the centre.
Summer Hill House fundraiser, Lisa Worthy said they were overwhelmed with the support they had received from the two companies.
“Thank you, is all I can say to them for doing what they have done,” she said.
