Eskom has just announced that load shedding has been implemented as of 11am this morning.
Eskom has started load shedding in stage 1 as of 11:05

Eskom said in a media statement that due to high electricity demand and the unavailability of some of their generating units, load shedding has been implemented and will continue till 10pm today.
We would like to appeal to customers to reduce their electricity usage as much as they can, as it will ease the pressure on the system

If load shedding stays in stage 1 for today, then according to Eskom’s load shedding schedule, Ballito should not experience any power outages.
