Ballito beauties heading to Miss SA junior

Two local models will strut their stuff in Pretoria for the junior Miss SA crown.

Two young girls from Ballito, Emma Rumble and Mia Maurell will take part in Miss Junior South Africa 2015 in Pretoria at the end of April.

Rumble will compete in the petite 7-8-years-old group and Maurell in the pre-teen 9-10-years-old group.

The competition will run from April 28 to May 3.

Rumble’s mother, Hyla, said her daughter was born to be a talented model.

“She has the passion for modelling and that is what will make her a modelling star in the future,” she said.

Her coach Karen Landman said she is confident that her student will do well at the competition.

“She is not afraid of the stage and knows how to use it,” said Landman.

Rumble already has various modelling titles to her name which include Miss Dolphin Coast 2012, Miss Lollipop 2013 and Spring Fever 2013. Landman said Rumble also assists in the development of other children at Simply Models.

The Umhlali Preparatory School grade two pupil is the first in her family to be a beauty contestant.

Her mother is looking for sponsorship to fund her trip to Pretoria for a chance to be crowned as Miss Junior SA.

“We need donations for her transport, entry fee, accommodation and clothing for the competition,” said her mom.

If you wish to help Rumble get to Miss Junior SA you can donate to the account: Standard Bank, account number 426830601, branch code 016342 or you can call Hyla Rumble on 079 392 2653.

You can vote for the girls as the Face of South Africa.

Vote for Emma Rumble by sending an SMS with the code P09 to 47018 and vote for Mia Maurell with the code PT26 also to 47018.

SMS costs R2 and the closing date for voting is May 3.
