Man shot three times at Ballito home

Possibly a case of domestic violence, said police.

A man in his forties was shot three times at his home in Barrington Estates in Ballito on Wednesday night.

Security and medical rescue services responded to reports of gun shots at Gazelle Road just after 8pm, but quickly established that the shots were fired in Barrington Estates.

Lt Col Dieter Fittkau from Umhlali SAPS confirmed that the man was shot in his arm, leg and shoulder and his girlfriend was arrested.

He said this may have been a case of domestic violence.

“She will appear in court 0n Friday,” said Fittkau.

The man was transported to Victoria Hospital by IPSS Medical Rescue and is in a critical but stable condition.
