Five things to do in Ballito this weekend

There is always something on the go in Ballito.

Ballito is one of the most popular holiday destinations on the KZN coast and there is always something on the go.

So whether you live on the Dolphin Coast or are visiting Ballito for the weekend, here are our top five suggestions.

Not to mention of course visiting one of our many fabulous beaches to while away the time sun tanning on the hot sand or surfing with your mates.

1.  The Litchi Orchard

This Saturday its market time at the Litchi Orchard.

This insanely popular Farmers market has everything from fresh produce to gourmet food, beautiful clothing, pottery and gifts.

Set in the beautiful orchard there is lots of space to lay out a picnic blanket and enjoy the live music while the kids make new friends on the jungle gym.

You will find this market opposite Tiffany’s Shopping Centre close to the N2 at the Salt Rock off ramp.

The market runs on the second Saturday of every month from 9am to 2pm.

2. Bird identification workshop

There’s something for the Twitchers too.

Birding and environmental guru Duncan Pritchard will be hosting a bird identification workshop on March 14 and 15.

This course is ideal for anyone wanting to learn more about birds and birding – from the casual garden birder, interested in the birds that visit their home to more experienced birders wanting to further hone their skills.

The course will be held in Ballito at the Striders running club on Dolphin Cresent.

For more details and bookings contact Duncan on 083 225 5960, contactus@etc-africa.com or visit www.etc-africa.com.

Open to all ages, the day promises to be fun for the whole family. The competition gets underway at 7am until 5pm.

While teams bat and bowl, they will be raising funds for the Quadraplegic Association.
