A woman was strangled in Nkobongo and more in your weekend crime report.

Umhlali SAPS attended the following crimes last weekend:

– On Friday a businessman found the gate of his business in Umhlali opened and entry gained. Steel pots, tables, anvil and gas trolley was stolen. The items are valued at R9400.

– A woman was strangled in Nkobongo and found next to the post box, and her handbag was taken.

– On Sunday a woman was walking in Steward Road, Ballito, when a man held her up at knife point. He took her handbag with money and cell phone.

– Karibu Farm in Umhlali was robbed on Sunday. Five men came to the farm armed with axes and one of them was carrying a firearm. They took 88 live chickens and then fled taking one of the employees with them. When they reached the Umhlali off ramp on the N2 they tied him to a tree, using his shirt.
