Oil spill in Durban harbour investigated

Cause of oil spill still unknown.

Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) said the cause of the oil spill in the Durban harbour remains unknown.

This comes after an oil slick entered the harbour from the Amanzimnyama canal and coated water, boats, wildlife and the shoreline, the Southlands Sun reported.

The TNPA said they are investigating and contracted an external service provider on Friday for the clean-up operation.
