Local airport raking in a handful of awards.

King Shaka International Airport (KSIA) was named ‘Best Regional Airport in Africa’ at the recently held Skytrax World Airport Awards in Paris.

KSIA was also awarded third place in the ‘Best Airport Staff Service in Africa’, ‘World’s Best Domestic Airport’ and ‘Best Airport in Africa’ categories.

The airport achieved second place for the ‘Best Airport in Africa’ at the Airports Council International awards, after Mauritius who claimed the top spot.

Upington International Airport is the ‘Best Small Airport in Africa’ for the fourth consecutive year.

KSIA general manager, Terence Delomoney said it was pleasing to see that the King Shaka International Airport staff give their best.

“This is evident in the number of recipients awarded for excellent work at the Service Standards Workshops. We will continue to show our passion for this business to our passengers with consistent service excellence,” said Delomoney.
