Bakkie stolen from Salt Rock beach
Salt Rock business owner's vehicle stolen while going for a surf.
A white bakkie was stolen from Salt Rock main beach early this morning, and has since been found in Umlazi.
The vehicle’s owner Trevor Wolf said he had gone for a surf and when he returned he discovered his bakkie was gone.
“I parked the bakkie along the main road in clear view of all the traders, yet no one saw anything,” said Wolf.
He said the vehicle was clearly marked with his business logo, the popular Ballito restaurant Al Pescatore.
The vehicle was fitted with a tracking device and Tracker recovered it in Umlazi within an hour.
“Tracker has been excellent and the support from the community in sending out requests to be on the lookout for the vehicle was fantastic,” he said.
