Morning of networking

The secret to the Banting diet discussed at networking breakfast.

Banting was the hot topic under discussion at Ballito Hirsch’s monthly networking morning held on Thursday, March 26.

About 50 people attended the event where the guest speaker for March was Banting Buddies coach Liesel Roebert. She spoke on the secret to the Banting diet.

“Banting has been defined as a low carb, high fat way of life,” said Roebert.

“Not only does it help to control weight, it also improves ones over all well-being as it assists in improving sleep, increases energy and even helps to whiten teeth!” said Hirsch’s Ballito public relations, Lindy Gray.

Another point that was stressed was the total removal of sugar from one’s diet as, for many reasons, this is the worst thing you can put into your body.

Hirsch’s Ballito’s lucky draw winner was Bridgette Allan who won a copy of the “At Home with Hirsch’s” cookbook.
