A golden love at Burnedale

Celebrating 40 years of love and happiness.

Duncan and Rose Ferguson recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary with their children and grandchildren at Burnedale in Umhlali at the exact spot where they met 41 years ago.

“Back in 1974, Umhlali was a very different place. It was a very rural setting,” said Ferguson.

She moved to the area for a teaching position when she met Duncan and a year later they tied the knot.

“When our 40th anniversary came up, my daughter suggested we have it at Burnedale where we met and I thought, that is such a fabulous idea!” she said.

And so Rose and Duncan, together with their children and grandchildren came together at Burnedale on July 4 to celebrate 40 years of marriage.

Congratulations!
