Ekamu brands to London

Entrepreneur jetting off to London to show off Ekamu clothing.

A passionate young entrepreneur from Doringkop, Nkanyiso Mngoma, is one of the 20 South African entrepreneurs under the KZN fashion council who will be exhibiting their work in London next month.

The creative director of Thembeni Printing and Ekamu Brands will be taking part in the fifth Africa Fashion Week from August 6 to 8.

“It is an achievement for me and I might meet a businessperson who would like to market my products in his or her clothing shop,” said Mngoma.

The 26-year-old started off by studying sports management at the Durban University of Technology.

In 2012 he interned at KwaDukuza municipality, serving as a traffic officer for six months before he decided to follow his dream.

Ekamu Clothing targets students at a tertiary level. He uses students from the Durban University of Technology and the University of Zululand to model and market his products.

You can call Mngoma on 078 540 7052 or follow his Facebook page, Ekamu Brands.
