Man stabbed, thrown off cliff in Maphumulo

Man's body was found after he failed to return home.

A man who left his home over the weekend to go and buy airtime was later found dead at the bottom of a cliff in Maphumulo.

KZN police spokesperson Major Thulani Zwane said the 31-year-old allegedly left his home on Saturday around 9am but never returned.

The next day police were informed that the man fell down a cliff.

Police arrived at Nombokojwana Area and Police Search and Rescue were called in to retrieve the body.

Zwane said the body had stab wounds and his cellphone was found a few metres away from the crime scene.

Earlier this year, a man fell down a cliff but survived the harrowing ordeal.
