WATCH: Rage matrics party hard in Ballito and Umhlanga

Day time pool parties, night time party vibes at The Sound Factory and a whole lot more done safely until December 7.

Partying hard, recovering on the beach and letting your hair down with your friends after surviving matric is what the annual Rage Festival is all about.

The festival, which ends tomorrow, attracted more than 15 000 young adults to the festival sites in Ballito and Umhlanga.

For the first time, Rage offered a campsite just 200 metres from the Ballito-based Sound Factory at the Ballito Cable Ski Park.

Beach fun, pool parties at La Montagne and dancing through the night were all part of the fun.

Doing so safely and taking home good memories was a top priority according to Rage Festival director Will McIntyre.

“Parents entrust us with their young adults and for many of them, this is likely their first big festival experience.

“We take that very seriously and safety remains a cornerstone of all technical and logistical decision making,” said McIntyre, who has been running the festival for over a decade.

Thanks to integrated radio-frequency identification (RFID) chip technology, every Rage-goer is registered on the system with emergency contacts and medical details stored for rapid response to any situation.

The Reg Frogs were also on hand to lend an ear or serve up a lekker pancake and their famous Red Frogs sweeties.
