Netcare Alberlito wows with international art on display
It forms part of the International Festival of Paintings for Pediatric Patients (IFPPP) which Annabelle had entered and won the previous year.
Forty-four pieces of art depicting a variety of medical, mental and physical health conditions were put on display at the Netcare Alberlito Hospital on Friday last week.
The display was headed and organised through a collaboration between monthly common variable immune deficiency patient, Annabelle Armstrong (19) and hospital management.
It forms part of the International Festival of Paintings for Pediatric Patients (IFPPP) which Annabelle had entered and won the previous year. Her winning piece highlights her struggle over the years with her illness.
Meanwhile, this year’s top 44 pieces drew the attention of those in attendance at the unveiling.

Some of the most striking and captivating pieces dealt with matters such as infertility and depression.
Currently studying design and photography, Annabelle thanked hospital staff at Netcare Alberlito for always looking after her during her visits and for the kind and caring way they see to the needs of both patient and parent alike.
Hospital management dubbed Annabelle a trendsetter for sharing her art-piece with people and for inspiring other pediatric patients to also take part in the competition.
