The search for the seven-year-old boy has continued this morning at Nonoti River.
Heavy rains and thunderstorms throughout the night on November 12 have wreaked havoc over the Ilembe region, with four people reportedly missing including a seven-year-old boy who was swept away off the Nonoti River bridge last night.
Emergency services called off attempts to locate the child last night due to heavy rain and lightning, but have resumed this morning at the Nonoti River searching for one more individual who was reportedly swept away this morning, as well as at Glendale and Maphumulo where two people have been reported missing.
