Disconnected Tongaat substation catches fire
The fire was quickly extinguished.
The electrical substation in Church Street, Tongaat, was reported ablaze today around 5pm, according to Netcare 911.
The local Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) contacted Tongaat Fire Department who managed to control and put out the fire.
The old substation is reportedly no longer in use.
No injuries were reported.
