Multiple North Coast beaches closed
The closure is due to rough sea conditions.
All beaches between Zinkwazi and Ballito have been closed today due to rough sea conditions.
According to KwaDukuza municipality head lifeguard, Bongani Xulu, they will monitor the conditions closely and reopen the beaches as soon as it is safe to do so.
“A decision to reopen the beaches will be made tonight while we continue to monitor ocean conditions,” said Xulu.
Meanwhile, beachgoers are urged to check with lifeguards before entering bathing areas to confirm if it is safe to do so.
