Loadshedding downgraded to stage 2
Stage 2 power cuts - which allow for up to 2 000MW to be shed from the national grid - are expected to last until 11pm on Wednesday.
Eskom announced late last night that stage 2 loadshedding will be implemented until 11pm today.
This came after stage 4 load shedding for most of the day on Tuesday, which was brought back to stage 3 at 8pm, and lowered to stage 2 at 9pm.
Eskom said they had returned several power station units but that rotational power cuts were likely to continue for the remainder of the week.
